THE ELLE CHAIR

The ELLE chair awarded and acknowledged for its gentle curves and subtle forms is a true masterpiece. Expertly crafted and finished, it is destined to become a classic.

Each chair is hand finished by skilled craftsmen. The chair is available in versions with or without armrests and with an upholstered or solid wood seat. Elle is at the very limit of what is possible in solid wood engineering. These pieces were cleverly planned to be visually and physically light. The wood components used are minimal while maintaining optimal structural strength. Designed by Nataša her vision of a side chair, barstool, bench and series of tables can be seen below and also available from our boutique.

In Nataša’s own word:

“I closed my eyes and imagined a chair that personified beauty. I began to sketch, draft and model a chair whose form fully followed function. I moved on by taking away additional material and smoothing out the edges. I slowly arrived at a very slender chair that rationally used wood components. The chair was exceptionally comfortable. Sitting on its wooden seat felt like sitting on a padded one. Elle table followed the same concept adopting a more downplayed aesthetic in order to ensure complementarity with different chairs.

The wood used for the chairs is proudly sourced from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody certified forests. Upon delivery of the wood kiln and drying takes place at the facility. Following skilled craftsmen prepares the wood from cutting components until the final process where each individual finished piece of furniture is hand finished.
